So... it's been a long time, huh?

2025 was such a weird year for me. I feel like I fell out of a lot of my passions, to the point where it felt exhausting even planning to create things. I think my mental health was really in shambles that latter half of that year. I started therapy, I got a job, I stopped painting in January and then started again in late-2025; The whole year was such a rollercoaster and I got crazy dizzy trying to keep up with everything.

This website, for example, fell to the back of my mind in terms of priorities. I taught myself how to code and was using this site to practice and also make my own little hub, but the more ideas I had, the less I felt like working on it. There are so many cool sites on neocities and I was so inspired by everyone that I think I got overwhelmed by all the possibilities. The burnout was real... and that was just my personal life. The real world is falling to shit and it has been hard to keep up with everything and also maintain my mental health.

The state of social media is in shambles. Full stop. Every company is trying to shove AI down our throats and convince us it's a good thing. They want our data, our money, our lives.

So how do I combat that, at least a little? By revamping my site and stepping back from social media altogether.

The 'stepping away' part has been easy, since I really haven't posted on any of my pages in the last year. But making the site from scratch again has been a real challenge.

Still, I'm excited to try it again. I want this site to be a collection of my art, in all its forms.
